Head Start Public Speaking For Kids Week 16- Public Presentations For Kids!

Last week Head Start Public Speaking For Kids held its Winter Public Presentation at the Sechelt Art Gallery and what a success!  The students have been preparing since October by learning and practising different public speaking skills- some basic, some advanced.  They spent the entire month of January practising, re-writing and honing their favourite speech and the results were evident!

Some of the highlights of the night were the great job our M.C.s Nima and Elizabeth did!  They were strong leaders in guiding our audience through the night with humour and style! Elizabeth’s M.C.ing was particularly notable as she felt she had had a personal setback earlier in the night and yet went on to make the audience her priority while she was at the helm.  It’s the mark of a true professional when you care most about .  We’re proud of you Elizabeth. Iris, Bella, Elizabeth and Annalisa were speaking for the very first time and their poise was extraordinary!   NO visible nerves in front of a packed house and loud enough for everyone to hear.  Way to go ladies! And so, for your enjoyment, here area ALL the speakers of Head Start Public Speaking For Kids for 2014/15!
